My opinion:West Fargo, ND has some good qualities. I think it is a nice place to raise your kids. The traffic is not bad at all. It has pretty much everything you need in a small city. It's quiet and safe for the most part. But, winter is so cold and long and isolating. Spring, Summer and Fall are perfect though! Our neighbors are good and opened up to us right away. Downtown Fargo is very cute and inviting and I believe always upgrading. North Dakota is North Dakota. The oil field action is not happening over here. I grew up in the western part of the state, moved all over to different states throughout my 20s-30s, came back to ND for a year and now I am happy to say goodbye for good in a couple of months. I won't live here again. North Dakota is what you make it .. and some people LOVE it here. I do not, but thank God there are so many choices of where to live in our country. I don't love the ND landscape nor the isolation and like I said .. the winters are tough, but some people love that!
